Biography: 

Tudor Dumitraș is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.

His research covers a range of data-driven security topics, including empirical studies of adversary behavior, machine learning systems for malware and attack detection, and security in adversarial environments. Dumitraș’s work aims to build defenses based on a rigorous understanding of real-world adversaries, addressing the challenges of detecting and mitigating threats in complex, dynamic security landscapes.
