Biography:
Gorjan Alagic is an associate research scientist in the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS) with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
His research lies at the intersection of theoretical computer science and mathematics, with a particular focus on quantum algorithms and cryptography. In quantum algorithms, Alagic studies computational problems related to topology and algebra. In cryptography, his interests include quantum-secure cryptographic primitives and program obfuscation
