Biography:
Erin Molloy is an assistant professor of computer science with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
Her research centers on designing phylogeny estimation methods that leverage distributed-memory systems and offer provable statistical guarantees. Molloy aims to make phylogenetic inference both accurate and computationally efficient, and is also focused on enhancing the processing of high-throughput genome sequencing data through evolutionary modeling.
